Citroen garage found code P0925 gearbox fault gear not engaged. They reset the gearbox programming ECU. They reset the gearbox programming ECU. They did a roadtest but no fault - fault tends to happen after the engine has warmed up although now happens soon after starting.

I've got this fault with gear selection on my 2008 EGS picasso. I've finally got a fault code P1704 - 'gear selector coherence fault'. Which apparently is "digital TRS faulted to transmit states in KOEO/KOER whatever the heck that means :/ also another one popped up briefly: P1715 but cannot find any reference to these codes on the site.
