I have heard that running the car at 2500rpm for 20 minutes (down the motorway, etc.) does a good job of clearing the dpf. March '22 - J12 1.3DIG-T 160 CVT Tekna+ with all wheel drive - Pearl Black. Forced Regen Question. Hey so im sure you guys have seen my issues . so long story short I dunno if was my harness or whatever but I ws getting a check engine light for my injector in the exhaust. We get a storm today randomly go outside to move the truck for the snow and poof no check engine light and regen works again. Astra, but any Diesel with DPF - How much for a forced regen.. Waiting at an indy garage yesterday for a job to be done on our car, noticed a man bought an 11 plate Astra Diesel in, judging by the work being done it was a pre MOT, and whilst there they performed a forced regen on the car. When you take your car to a professional garage for a DPF clean, the whole process can take up to 2 hours to complete. An expert mechanic can put your DPF through a process called forced regeneration. During this process, a mechanic will be able to burn away the soot particles in your diesel particulate filter. The original issue was the EGTS that had died causing the car to go into limp mode and miss several DPF burns ect. I took out the DPF and cleaned It out (seems to be intact), Replaced the faulty sensor (which was hella expensive for some unknown reason).. Now I am attempting to do a forced Regen and a DPF assessment with my scan tool. First Dealership garage forced regen done after about 450 miles from brand new. Stated it was a faulty sensor. Did not replace oil and filter. Second visit to garage another forced regeneration and oil and filter change. Seven visits to garage ref blocked dpf. Mileage currently 16950 miles. Last regen done about 1000 miles ago.
