How to factory reset iPod Classic. So I’ve recently been trying to sell lots of old tech and I’ve unearthed my iPod Classic 6th Gen 80GB. I tried resetting through the settings menu but it didn’t wipe the device. I tried connecting up to Macs and PCs but none would recognise the device was plugged in (although the iPod would charge). At the very beggining connect your iPod to the PC and open iTunes on you computer. In the next step select your iPod from the left menu in iTunes. Afterwards click the Restore button in iTunes. At this point of process you can now do back up your files, just if you want. Then click Restore to confirm information about this procedure.
the answer is simply this!!!! i have a d650 adapter and motorkr headphones. the adapter will work completely with a classic (or ipod of this type) it will only serve as a means to control the functions of a nano (volume, rew, fwd etc.) it will not relay sound. i think it has something to do with the internal speaker or something on the fifth gen.
